AT Considerations Birth-21: In Preparation For Adulthood.
-
You are invited to our first Assistive Technology Interest Group (ATIG) meeting for this year.
- This group is composed of school district staff and
adult employment vendors that meet to learn about Assistive
Technology and its uses for a wide range of individuals from
Preschool to adult.
- Each year we invite parents to join us for
one meeting! This year we are changing it from the last meeting
of the year to the first meeting.
- Our topic is AT Considerations Birth-21: In Preparation For
Adulthood. Robin Christman will be explaining documents
titled: Start Now and Gaps and and Barriers to Employment.
- Start Now is a program started at South Kitsap to help eliminate
barriers to transitioning students into the work force.
-
A
process/system for staff to use that follows along with the
student as they transition from preschool to elementary, then
elementary to middle school and then middle school to high
school, etc.
- It’s a system of tracking critical skills needed
to go into the work force.
The meeting will be at the Olympic Educational Service District
(OESD) on November 16, from 1-3pm. - The address is 105 National
Ave. N, Bremerton.
